I also offer "sponsored position" pricing ($40 per single session) for dedicated clients who are also experiencing great financial need. There are a limited number of these positions available. Contact me for availability.
How does payment work?
I accept cash, check, or credit card at the end of sessions.
Do you take Insurance?
No. I am not currently a provider for any insurance companies. However, I am happy to complete out-of-network paperwork for clients who can be reimbursed for counseling through their insurance plan.
How many sessions will I need?
Every client is different. I have some clients that I have been seeing regularly (weekly or biweekly) for years, and I also have clients who schedule sessions as needed when working on a single specific goal (usually 8-12 sessions).
How often are sessions usually scheduled?
Most clients choose to schedule weekly sessions. At least in the beginning, I always recommend weekly sessions because it is difficult to build comfort and a sense of progress when weeks go between sessions. Very motivated clients often choose to complete a double session or two sessions per week to get started. After clients have gained a sense of momentum, they often choose to switch sessions to weekly or biweekly. I have several clients who choose to stay plugged-in to counseling long-term by scheduling check-ins monthly or as needed.
What will sessions be like?
Your first session will be a complementary consultation at which we will complete intake paperwork, meet one another, and review goals to make sure that counseling with me is the best fit for you. This new-client consultation takes place at the office. After the first session, we can decide together the setting and type of your following sessions as we go based on your preferences and goals. Many clients choose to alternate between adventure sessions and office sessions.
